Amazon has chosen Darlington as the inaugural site in the UK for drone deliveries. The company is in the process of submitting a planning application to establish drone flight operations at its fulfillment center in Darlington. Amazon expressed its readiness and enthusiasm to introduce drone delivery to its UK customers, stating, We are ready and excited to make drone delivery a reality for our UK customers. The initial trials in the UK are set to commence shortly, encompassing a 7.5-mile radius from the Amazon warehouse located in Symmetry Park.
